Job Title: Travel Radiation Therapist
Location: Texas
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Work Type: Full-Time, Travel Assignment
Start Date: Immediate

This position will involve assisting in treatment planning procedures, tumor localization, and dosimetry.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to administrative and departmental policies, ensuring professional behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, and confidentiality.
- Maintain an accurate schedule, ensuring that patients are seen on or before their appointed times whenever possible.
- Explain procedures to patients, assessing their and their families' special needs, including dietary, psychosocial, and nursing/physician consultations.
- Prepare rooms and equipment for use, ensuring a safe and clean environment for radiation oncology patients.
- Accurately report variations in treatment setup or dose delivery to the supervisor and/or oncologist.
- Notify personnel about erratic equipment operation and follow safety measures for radiation protection.
- Perform weekly chart checks, rotating responsibilities with a partner.
- Complete accurate documentation and record-keeping in accordance with departmental standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Skills:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or treatment center environment, but we will accept recent graduates from an AMA-approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology.
- ARRT, RT (R): Must be registered or registry-eligible and must complete the requirements and become registered within the first year of employment.
- Must possess a current Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate with the Texas Medical Board or, if a new graduate, must have started the application process before hire.
- Maintain current licensure, registration, and certification, and provide proof to the hospital.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
