Position: Physical Therapist (School)
Location: Bastrop ISD, Bastrop, TX
Schedule:
2025 – 2026 School Year – Monday – Friday – Day Shift
Estimated Contract Length: Up to 5 years

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Physical Therapist education and degrees shall be recognized by the U.S
- Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
- BLS
- Experience working with school-aged children
Duties:
The contractor employee will be required to develop time-limited, functionally based short and long-term goals. The PT/OT will then provide or oversee the direct patient care, selecting the most appropriate techniques to reach the established goals.
Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move.
Develop an individualized treatment plan
Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition.
Using exercises, stretching, equipment and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility and prevent further injury.
