Position: Phlebotomist
Location: White River Junction VA Medical Center
Schedule: May be required to provide services during the following times:
Dayshift: 6:00AM – 2:30PM; 6:30AM – 3:00PM; 7:00AM – 3:30PM; 7:30Am – 4:00PM; 8:00AM – 4:30PM
May be required to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
Estimated Contract Length: November 2025 – October 2026

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have three (3) years of recent Phlebotomy experience
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
May work in multiple areas of the lab as determined by the needs of the service at that time and shall be responsible for providing the following service:
- The employee will perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP), and timed draws.
- The employee will perform sample processing and send out preparation.
- As part of safety, positively identifies patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting.
- As part of safety and safeguards electronic and paper patient information. Identifies, documents, and resolves any collection or processing issues.
- Assures patient-centered care and provides service in a manner that is professional and will avoid complaints from all stakeholders and customers.
