Position: Registered Dietician
Location: USCG Training Center Cape May, NJ
Schedule:
Work shall be performed in a full-time 8-hour workday with a 30-minute lunchtime break period.
Total amount of up to 40 hours per week Monday thru Saturday.
Contract Estimated Length: May 2026 – April 2031

Minimum Qualifications:
RDs must have and maintain a current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice in the State of New Jersey.
Must maintain Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or other agency recognized by the State of New Jersey, the CG, and First Aid certifications.
Shall have an entry-level Bachelors or Master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from an educational institute accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) or completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) accredited by the ACEND or completion of a post- Baccalaureate degree Dietetic Internship Program of supervised practice (for a minimum of 1200 hours) accredited by ACEND and pass a comprehensive state licensing exam.
Background in sports nutrition and/or weight management is desired.
Scope:
This Statement of Work outlines the requirements for acquiring the services of a Dietician to support the Future Sentinel Preparatory Course (FSPC), at the USCG Training Center Cape May. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing recruits for Coast Guard service by educating and guiding Sentinels to ensure safe progression towards their health goals.
