Position: Advanced Practice Providers (Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner)
Location: FCC Hazelton (Federal Correctional Complex), Bruceton Mills, West Virginia
Locations to include the following Individual departments: United Stated Penitentiary, Federal Correctional Institution, the Secure Female Facility and the Satellite Prison Camp
Schedule:
Will normally provide eight (1) hour sessions per provider, per day, Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays. A session is defined as one hour. Work hours will normally be between 6:00am – 6:00pm

Minimum Qualifications for APP:
- Graduate from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the U.S Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
- Have successfully completed the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination.
- Maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing Medical Education (CME) and re-certification.
- Must possess proof of a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a physician assistant from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Hold a graduate or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited educational program. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
- Have successfully passed the National Council Licensure Examination.
- Maintain status as a licensed nurse practitioner, including competition of all requirements for Continuing Medical Education 9CME) and re-certification.
- Must provide proof of current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- One year of experience providing advanced practice provider services in emergency care, acute care, ambulatory/outpatient care, psychiatric care and/or medical/surgical care.
- Three or more years of experience in emergency care, acute care, ambulatory/outpatient care, psychiatric care, and/or medical/surgical care
- Experience in providing healthcare in a correctional setting.
- Additional professional education and certifications such as advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), International Trauma Lie Support (ITLS) etc…
