PRN Medical Assistant - Pain Management

Are you a skilled Medical Assistant looking to support active-duty service members and their families? We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join a Pain Management team in a professional military healthcare setting. .
Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES) or completion of a U.S. Armed Forces medical training program
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience within the past 3 years
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• No licensure or board certification required

• Assist providers during exams and procedures
• Perform patient intake, record vital signs, and document chief complaints
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed by the physician
• Place IV catheters and perform blood draws
• Obtain lab and imaging results
• Schedule appointments and communicate test results to patients
• Maintain accurate medical records and scan documentation
• Support clinic flow and provide direct patient care
• Operate clinical equipment including EKG machines, thermometers, infusion pumps, and blood pressure monitors
• Follow sterilization procedures and assist with specimen handling
• Perform administrative and front desk duties as needed
