Position: Phlebotomist
Location: Central Texas Veterans Health Care Services and the following locations:

  • Olin E. Teague VA Medical Center, 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, TX 76505
  • Doris Miller VA Medical Center, 4800 Memorial Drive, Waco, TX 76711
  • Austin Outpatient Clinic, 7901 Metropolis Dr., Austin, TX 78744
  • Temple Annex, 4501 S. General Bruce Dr. STE 88, Temple, Tx 76502
Schedule:
7am-3:30pm (with 30-minute lunch break); 4am- 12:45pm; 6am-2:45pm; or 7:30am – 4:15pm (with 45 min lunch); 4:00pm – midnight; midnight – 8:00am. Service is required 365 days a year including national holidays. OT only when approved

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Contractor personnel shall possess basic proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Contractor personnel shall be mentally and physically able to fulfill responsibilities of the work to be performed.
  • Contractor personnel must be competent and proficient to perform the tasks described in Attachment A. Candidate resumes will be reviewed for knowledge, skills and abilities, and references may be requested and verified.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Phlebotomy experience must fulfill one of the following:
  • Completion of a certified phlebotomy program and a minimum of 12 months of documented full-time phlebotomy experience, or
  • Medical Laboratory Technician Certification, or ASCP or ASPT Certification a Plus but not required, and a minimum of 12 months of documented full-time phlebotomy experience
