Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Minimum one (1) year of full-time RN experience within the last three (3) years
- Experience must be in a Level III (or higher) Emergency Department
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, or U.S. Virgin Islands
- BLS (required)
- ACLS, PALS, and/or ALS required within 60 days of start date (per facility policy)
Core Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, physical exams, and obtain health histories
- Triage patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and wound care
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Provide patient education and health promotion counseling
- Assign and supervise nursing personnel appropriately
- Maintain compliance with facility standards and policies
- Complete all required annual training and competencies
