Position: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Federal Correctional Institution Edgefield, Edgefield, SC
Schedule:
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on school holidays

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician training course or skills acquired through on-the-job training.
- Must have experience working as a Pharmacy Technician for at least three years or have a certificate of training for Pharmacy Technician services
- Have a current CPR certification
- Experience working in a correctional environment is preferred but not required.
- Must possess computer and typing skills, have knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures to perform job activities on various types of medical equipment and automated systems and of safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment.
- Possess the ability to relate and deal effectively with Physicians, peers, inmates, and others; to recognize, report, and record changes in patient’s physical and emotional condition; and to administer medication.
- Must maintain and provide proof of a valid certificate. He/she must maintain and provide proof of medical liability insurance
