Donald L. Mooney Enterprises, LLC dba NURSES Etc STAFFING is sourcing qualified Health Technician (MRI Level 2) for the VA San Diego Healthcare System.
Estimated Contract Length: December 01, 2025 through November 30, 2026
Schedule: seven days a week to include day, evening, night, and up to twelve (12) hour shifts.
Health Technician, MRI Level 2:
Monday – Sunday: Between Midnight - Midnight
**Contract personnel may be required to work the days and between the hours indicated in the above schedules. **
Pay: $25/Hr.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires Magnetic Resonance Imaging
(MRI) staffing services to eligible Veteran beneficiaries of the Veterans Affairs San
Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) Radiology Department and the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) where imaging services are provided. Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist and Health Technician (HT), MRI Level 2 trained, as well as on-call services with a 30-minute report time from the time of notification. The stated requirement will be utilized for complete shift coverage during any given shift, seven days a week to include day, evening, night, and up to twelve (12) hour shifts as needed. Contractor personnel will have use of all required patient care equipment, supplies, and computer access for performing services required by the subsequent task order.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- The contractor shall provide a Health Technician, MRI Level 2 trained, as well as provide on-call services with a 30-minute report time from the time of notification. Contractor personnel shall receive patients, explain method of procedure(s), position patients, select and set technical factors, set up and adjust accessory equipment, and make and develop exposures. Contractor’s personnel shall provide staffing for shifts as designated by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Health Technician, MRI Level 2 - Supports patient care in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) section of Radiology. The Health Technician is responsible for a wide variety of duties that requires the ability to interact with patients, physicians, nurses, Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists, Imaging Technologists, Radiology Residents and Fellowship Physicians, as well as multiple ancillary hospital personnel and services. Function effectively as a vital member of the Imaging Service team when cooperative efforts are needed to complete patient procedures and provide a high level of patient satisfaction and safety for patients and team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Personnel assigned by the Contractor to perform imaging covered by this contract are required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; PACS work experience is required. All contract personnel must have a minimum of two (2) years of current work experience, with a minimum of 2080 hours per year, that demonstrates the ability to work with minimal or no supervision. Current work experience is defined as work performed within the past three (3) years. Student internship and training time spent in a Radiology setting does not count towards the 2 years of current work experience, regardless of when it was worked. Additional qualifications required per specialty are as follows:
Health Technician
- Have MRI Level 2 Safety Training in the past year.
- Have current and valid BLS
