Staffing is currently looking for committed Inpatient Psychiatric Registered Nurse to fill positions across various shifts ( Full-time) 12 hr Night Shift at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. Position Qualifications/Requirements:

• Education:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

• Certification/Licensure:

  • Current, Unrestricted RN License from any U.S. state, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of Inpatient Psychiatric RN experience within the last 2 years.

• Skills and Competencies:

  • Expertise in psychiatric care and patient-centered care.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in documentation and crisis management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Inpatient Psychiatric Care: Deliver high-quality care in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• Assessment and Treatment: Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatments.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals for comprehensive care.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families on psychiatric conditions and treatments.
• Crisis Intervention: Manage and de-escalate psychiatric emergencies.
