Nurses Etc. Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) to join our team at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide quality healthcare services in a military treatment facility serving active-duty service members, retirees, and their families.
Position Summary
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs a variety of ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, producing high-quality diagnostic images while delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is experienced in General, OB/GYN, and Vascular Sonography and is committed to maintaining the highest clinical standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on clinical experience within the last three (3) years as a practicing Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
Experience in administrative, supervisory, or instructional roles alone does not satisfy the clinical experience requirement.
Must be able to perform ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages.
Must be registered in:
General Sonography
OB/GYN Sonography
Vascular Sonography
Essential Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
Prepare and educate patients before procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
Follow all infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
