Nurses Etc. Staffing is seeking a qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide healthcare services at Camp Pendleton, California.

Position Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program recognized by ACEN or CCNE.
• Current PMHNP-BC certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
• Completion of 30 hours of pharmacology education for advanced nursing practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience within the last 2 years as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, including prescribing psychiatric medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
• Diagnose, treat, and counsel patients within applicable protocols, clinical practice guidelines, and Nurse Practice Acts.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as appropriate.
• Promote preventive care, health maintenance, and positive health behaviors.
• Provide patient education and counseling.
• Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
• Participate in staff meetings, case discussions, continuing education, quality improvement, and safety activities.
• Provide evidence-based education and training to staff as appropriate.
• Follow infection-control procedures and universal precautions.
