Psych RN – Ithaca, NY (Travel Contract) | Day Shift | $2,608 Weekly Gross

Nurses Etc Staffing is seeking experienced Psych RNs for a travel assignment in Ithaca, NY.

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Day, Evening, and Night Shifts available 
Hours: 40 hours
Compensation:
26/hr
$1,568/week stipend
$2,608/week gross

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Helps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.
• Completes physical & mental health assessments (VS, risk assessments, withdrawal assessment (COWS) as indicated by Part 820 regulations
• Administers and monitors treatment regimens
• Administers prescribed medications
• Observes and reports behavioral changes
• Maintains control of drugs and medications
• Triage emergent client medical issues and coordinate care with the Nursing Staff, PA, NP, Medical Director and outside providers.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting
• Direct care provided by licensed practical nurses
• Respects cultural and religious practices of patients
• Helps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.
• Ensure OASAS/Medicaid regulatory compliance, Collaborates with Director of Nursing, Direct Care Staff, Counselors, Clinical Directors, other Department Managers and Compliance Manager in Quality Assessment, Assurance, and Performance Improvement Activities


Requirements
Associate’s degree in nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
2 years of psych experience REQUIRED
Experience with addiction/recovery patients preferred
Successful completion of medication competency exam.
Certifications required:
BLS (AHA)
CPI (training provided by facility)
New York RN license required
