Echo Tech – Lafayette, LA (Travel Contract) | Day Shift | $3,046 Weekly Gross

Nurses Etc Staffing is seeking an experienced Echo Tech (Sonographer) for a travel assignment in Lafayette, LA.

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 5/26/26
Schedule: Day shift, 9:30a- 5p, M-Fri
Hours: 40 hours
Compensation:
45/hr
$1,246/week stipend
$3,046/week gross

Roles and Responsibilities:
 

• Perform a variety of diagnostic sonographic procedures, including echocardiograms (2D/M Mode, Doppler, and Color Flow imaging)
• Conduct electrocardiograms (EKGs) and assist with cardiac stress testing, including Exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echo
• Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and proper imaging quality
• Obtain and document relevant patient history and clinical information prior to procedures
• Analyze images and compile preliminary diagnostic findings for physician review
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to changes in condition or adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and results
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound and diagnostic equipment
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support timely and accurate diagnoses

Requirements
High School  Diploma or 
2 years of experience in cardiac ultrasound.Adult echo and TEE experience required. 

Pediatric echo and interventional TEE experience preferred.

Certifications required:
BLS (AHA)
Active RDCS Registry through ARDMS or RCS through CCI
