Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist
Location: Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC), Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, NV

Nurses Etc. Staffing is seeking a qualified Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist to support healthcare operations at Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center located on Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide direct patient care to active-duty military members, veterans, and their families in a collaborative military healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense medications for hospitalized patients.
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
- Monitor medication therapy outcomes and recommend therapy modifications when appropriate.
- Participate in medical rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams.
- Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac arrest and Code Blue events.
- Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring for medications such as vancomycin, aminoglycosides, anticoagulants, and other high-risk therapies.
- Prepare and oversee sterile compounding and specialty medication preparations.
- Provide discharge medication counseling and patient education.
- Support antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and military healthcare regulations.
- Maintain controlled substance accountability and documentation requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Minimum one (1) year of inpatient pharmacist experience.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board Certification in a pharmacy specialty recognized by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS), or
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency or fellowship.
- Experience with inpatient clinical pharmacy services, pharmacokinetics, sterile compounding, and multidisciplinary patient care.
