Position: Phlebotomy Tech
Location: Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Hazelton, Bruceton Mills, West Virginia
Estimated Contract Start Date: October 01, 2025
Schedule:
The work schedule shall not exceed 160 sessions per week (40 sessions per week per contract employee) whereby one session equals one hour of service. The weekly schedule will normally consist of one 7.5-10 hour session per day, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. Work hours will normally be between 0600 and 1800, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The number of sessions per week and the session hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the institution.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Must possess proof of a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Medical Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, and/or Phlebotomist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Experience in providing healthcare in a correctional setting
- Additional professional education and certifications
